A recent graduate of the biochemistry and molecular biology department has been named to the 2018 Scholar All-America First Team in swimming and diving.

Chang-Hao (Perry) Wu of Dr. Michael Adams' lab successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation Thursday, June 14, 2018.
The title of Wu's dissertation was "Genetic Engineering of Hydrogenase and Related Enzymes in the Hyperthermophilic Archaeon Pyrococcus Furiosus."
A paper from the Michael P. Terns lab was recently published in, and featured on the cover of, the journal Molecular Cell.

The department of biochemistry and molecular biology hosted its 2018 graduate research retreat May 21 and 22 at Unicoi State Park in Helen.
