Saanvikha Saravanan​ Wins Biochemistry and Molecular Biology ​Faculty Award for Academic Excellence​

Saanvikha Saravanan​ is the 2025 winner of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Faculty Award for Academic Excellence. The award recognizes a graduating senior majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for outstanding academic accomplishments. She also received an A.B. in Spanish and a certificate in personal and organizational leadership and minored in applied biotechnology. Saanvikha's research mentor was Dr. Rick L. Tarleton from the Department of Cellular Biology, and her research focused on T. cruzi immunology and dormancy. She also presented papers at Stanford, Harvard, and UGA, and received a Presidential Award of Excellence. Saanvikha will be an Associate at Boston Consulting Group in Washington D.C., starting this fall and will take the LSAT this summer in preparation for attending law school in 2028.
