This is a course in Molecular Modeling and Computational Chemistry which
begins with lectures and laboratory sessions designed by Dr. Norman L.
Allinger (Research Professor of Chemistry and Director of Computational
Center for Molecular Structure and Design) covering the history and basics
of Molecular Mechanics calculations and details of the MM family (MM2 & MM3)
of programs. The second part of the course introduces students to the
use of tools of molecular mechanics for studies of proteins and other
macromolecules. This section and accompanying laboratories were designed
by Dr. John E. Wampler (Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology).
