Thank you for visiting the Ph.D. program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Georgia in Athens.
For more than two decades, the department has provided full stipends and tuition waivers to all of our graduate students. Our current graduate student body consists of approximately 60 students that come from all over the United States as well as from abroad. With more than 25 federally funded (NIH, NSF, and/or DOE) laboratories in the department, there are more than ample resources and opportunities to help you pursue your biochemical interests in a wide-array of areas. When adjunct faculty are included, the incoming student has more than 50 laboratories to choose from which allows you to find the lab that is just the right fit for you.
